Hi there! I’m Emily Michaelian, a photographer with a big love for color, creativity, and capturing the beauty in everyday life.

I first found my love for photography about eight years ago. Creativity has always been such a huge part of who I am, and picking up a camera felt like the most natural way to express it. It’s always felt like my eyes and my lens were connected, as if photography was my way of showing the world how I see it. I completely fell in love with photography when I first saw images of the Northern Lights. Their colors, movement, and magic completely inspired me, and I made it a personal goal to one day photograph them myself. That dream sparked everything for me and taught me just how powerful capturing beauty can be.

Since then, photography has been my favorite way to express how I see the world. I’ve always been an energetic, curious, and creative person, and my camera allows me to bring that energy to life, whether I’m photographing food, portraits, or landscapes.
I graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication, specializing in Commercial Photography, along with a certificate in Social Media. I’ve had the opportunity to work at a commercial photography studio, where I’ve done a bit of everything, from photographing and assisting on photo and video shoots, to styling sets and managing social media content. That experience taught me how to bring creative visions to life, from concept and styling all the way to the final image.
My love for landscape and portrait photography runs deep. Landscapes let me share the way I experience the world, the color, calm, and emotion I feel in those moments. While portraits allow me to connect with people and tell their stories in a real, meaningful way. Both give me the chance to capture beauty, emotion, and personality in their truest forms.
At the heart of it all, my goal is to create images that make people feel something. I want every session to be fun, comfortable, and full of good energy! An experience that feels natural, genuine, and uniquely you. I can’t wait to keep sharing my vision with the world and work with future clients who are just as excited about creating something beautiful together.
